April was National Fair Housing Month and this year was particularly monumental in that it was the 50th anniversary. The BHA joined in with many organizations across the country to acknowledge our commitment to fair housing for all by running a campaign for the entire month, highlighting the milestones, sharing videos and graphics as well as an outreach effort to the Bloomington community. This effort was composed of meeting with community groups that work with those “protected classes” designated by the federal government and recognized by fair housing advocates. After completing these activities and evaluating organizational data, we drafted a “Fair Housing Report” for the community’s review. To access the report, please click on the link below.
